This art set is AWESOME!!! It has everything a child ( or Grow up child hehe) would need to design and create beautiful pictures/ artwork. I would suggest purchasing a quailty sketch book because the paper that comes with this set is basically white plain paper about the weight of everyday printer paper, other than that it contains everything to make mix media art or an just a drawing. This set includes: oil pastels, crayons, markers, water color paint, color pencils ( I believe) paint brushes, a built in easel that can easily be folded back down when not in use, large clips to hold paper in place, as well as brightly colored paperclips. The case when closed has disosaur illustrations that any child would love. I absolutely love this kit, which can be used for all ages. I know that the use of the imagination and creativity is both very important in how the child's brain developes. Any form of the arts is an excellant way for anyone to express themselves as well to help build self esteem, and it is also an excellent therapeutic outlet for dealing with lifes stressors. This kit would make an excellent gift for childern of all ages, even for us adults who's inter child craves to create. I wished I could give an extra star.

This is the ultimate art pack! It has thick (12) and thin (24) markers, 24 colored pencils, a ruler and pencil sharpener, a pencil and a paintbrush, a two-sided easel with 4 clips to secure the art paper, 24 water colors plus white, an eraser, two each of 24 oil pastels, and 24 crayons. Also 10 blank papers that hold the markers really well. I highly recommend this, my daughter is already using it.

Great for the budding young artist!

I chose this art set for my 7 year old niece, who loves to draw and learn. She's not a dinosaur fanatic, but the dinos on this art set are so adorable they totally work for her. More importantly, this set is HUGE, perfect for keeping her entertained for hours! The assortment of markers, pencils, paints, and other drawing tools is impressive, and the colors are bright and well-pigmented. The easel is simple but perfectly practical and useful, and the included clips to hold the paper in place work well. The only downside is the included paper -- it's super-thin, and the edges were wrinkled and folded up, likely because it's so thin that it didn't hold up well as it slid around in shipping. But that was an easy fix -- I just replaced it with some basic copy paper I had. I think I might buy a pack of colored paper to include as well. Bottom line: This is an awesome gift for any kid who likes to draw, and it's more than worth the price!
