Saved my horse's tail!

I bought this from a trainer's recommendation. She said her horse would scratch his tail raw without this sheet. So, having a horse with allergies, I decided to give it a try. My horse wears this sheet inside during the day and a different fly sheet outside at night. This does not have a belly band, but it works great to prevent him from rubbing his tail out in his stall. It is cool enough for our Alabama humid/heat with his stall fan on. The only down side to this sheet, is our weekend feeder didn't bother to reattach the velcro straps when taking it off, so the sheet is snagged in several places. But it is doing its job...so I'm happy with it! I bought a size down

Fit

I bought this fly sheet because I have a thick warmblood with a big shoulder. The shoulder fits great but I ordered a 82" and it is a bit long. The material is soft and the quality is great.

Nicely made but fit was off for us

I love how well made and soft the sheet is but sadly it didn't fit my mare. I have a stocky Paint/QH mare but she's only 14.1 hands which can make it challenging to fit sheets on her. I use the regular (non stock horse) Horseware fly sheets on her usually and they work well but I saw this and thought it may improve the fit even more! Sadly it did not...The chest closure was so low on her chest it left a big gap between the neck cover and the chest closure and I could see that had I turned her out in it, I'd have been dealing with rubs on her chest. Thankfully SmartPak's awesome free return option saved the day as always so I wasn't out anything for trying it! If you don't own a pony like me though, I highly recommend trying the sheet, especially since it's no risk with SmartPak returns!
