Better than expected!

Based on the reviews I didn't expect to have these forever. I've had them on my young mare for a month and the worst that's happened is one of the back bones started to come out. She has little legs so it's not really necessary anyways. They look super cute and the Velcro is holding up really well. They also don't make her legs sweat. If you're on the fence, I would make the leap!

Well fitting and secure

These fly boots hold their shape and stay up well. They can stay on for extended periods of time without irritating the legs and hold up well in the washer.

Nice fly boots

Purchased after seeing how a friend's worked for her. These boots have some nice features such as a more contoured fit, really strong velcro, and plastic stays in the back so they stand up better without too much scrunching down. The cob size fits my girl's 15h well boned legs very well, I don't notice a lot of sand or debris getting in the boots and because the bugs can't get to her skin to bite her, she is stomping a lot less. I am using them in FL and will say they do hold a bit of heat, my mare is stocking up a bit during the day wearing these, so there are some tradeoffs. I try to readjust them at least daily on her legs, they don't rub but sometimes shift around if she is particularly active in her field. She has worn them through rain storms and they dry pretty quickly on her legs, so I am not too too worried about rain rot or cannon crud with them.
