Honeywell T87K1007 Plastic Round White Heat Only Thermostat

I have used this thermostat for most of my life. I recently found out that I can change the length of heating cycle. In the past, the furnace would stay on too long and then would restart only after the room had cooled down too much. For example, if the thermostat was set at 70 degrees, it might run until the room was too warm. Then, it might not restart until the room gets down to 67 degrees. If you look closely at the bottom of the dial, you will see a brass arrow that is adjustable. If the cycle is too long, simply move the arrow to the right. You will notice that the furnace will run more frequently but for a shorter period of time. This creates a much more comfortable temperature. I highly recommend trying this adjustment.
