it keeps us nice and warm, with another blanket under it in the winter.. It is nice and light so we also use it in the summer without the other blanket. We live in the mountains at 5700 ft so that makes a difference for people at sea level. The color I go is Blue and the color it nice and rich, the satin all around the blanket is prefect. You can't got wrong buying this Blanket!!
