Kane, a high school senior just trying to fulfill his mother's dream of seeing him graduate, gets caught up in the streets of St. Louis when he and his best friend start hitting licks for quick cash. But one job goes wrong, leaving a man dead - and the victim's crew out for blood. When the rival gang retaliates by killing Kane's mother, his world collapses. Kane, now working for the city's drug kingpin, crews up for payback, but the main detective on the case starts getting in the way.
