HitchMate Cargo Stabilizer Bar for Full Size Trucks

I use this to trap fuel jugs against tail gate ...along with a ratchet strap through handles to bed tie-downs. Empty cans flutter in the turbulence and can loosen straps & fly off ... this bar solve the empty fuel-can flutter! Great product ... I initially got the cheaper version sold by Tractor Supply & Orschelns ...(1/2 price) ....BUT it had so much flex & inadequate grip on the end feet ...it would not stay tight ! I returned it right away ...after trying to test fit it & ordered the Northern Tool quality version ! I was not disappointed!

Great product! It's sturdy, and has worked well at holding necessary items in place in the truck bed. I know other reviewers have reported damaging their bed walls when using, while others have provided useful tips on making sure that doesn't happen. Following the advice of those who were successful in using this product. I took my time the first time to carefully determine where to adjust the bar before operating the ratchet handle. Once I determined the right place to provide a tight fit without the bed wall, I marked that spot on the bar with a permanent marker. Now it's quick and easy to move the bar to the necessary location in my truck bed.
