Hillshire Farm Polska Kielbasa Smoked Sausage Rope, 14 oz (Refrigerated)

I like to prepare other vegetables with this sausage, colorful peppers and onions, garlic. Mix it with potatoes or sauerkraut and sage dressing. Taste so good. Using sausage to blend with vegetable soup. A whole new flavor. We love it for breakfast with eggs, gravy and fried potatoes, tomatoes. Biscuits. Makes a nice casserole for breakfast or dinner.

Kielbasa is salty. I suggest not using any salt to season this recipe. Hillside kielbasa is a great choice for a quick dinner. I cut it up in 1/2” rounds, brown, then transfer to a large pot. Use a cup of water to deglaze the pan. Pour that water into the large pot. Add 2 cans Great Value tri-colored beans drained and one can cannellini beans not drained into the pot and stir. Add 2 Tablespoons oregano. Sprinkle garlic and onion powder to taste. Add one can crushed tomatoes either the plain kind or any of the flavored choices that you like and one small can tomato paste. Stir. Set the pot to simmer and stir stir stir. If it the sauce seems too thick for your liking add any broth you have on hand or add water. Add as much broth or water as you like depending on how thick you like your sauce. The special ingredient is sun dried tomatoes in oil. Take 2-3 sun dried tomatoes out of the jar and dice as small as you can then add to the pot. Keep the pot on simmer when you add the sun dried tomatoes. They keep in the fridge for to least 3 months and you can use them again in another recipe or next time you make this dish. Simmer and stir for 15-20 mins then serve. High protein, under an hour to make, simple simple simple.
