James Stewart As An Attorney

I normally don't care much for James Stewart as an actor, but this particular show is an exception. The storylines are great and Stewart is quite interesting. Even though there were only 8 episodes made, they run 75-80 minutes and are considered "movies". That's why there were only 8 made. Walmart has the DVD available and for anyone who is interested in legal dramas, this would be worth it.

Every DVD was flawed

The first show on each DVD played. However, the second show on each disk would not play after about a minute. I tried multiple players, cleaning the disks etc and no luck. I was only able to watch four of the eight shows. very disappointing. Did Warner do a bad job burning the DVDs? The episodes I could watch didn't seem up to par with other Stewart performances. I thought the story lines were weak, and the plots didn't follow through. James Stewart is a great actor, but the character of Billy Joe Hawkins made him hillbilly and silly. The purchase of this series was a big mistake not only because the DVDs didn't perform and that James Stewart's performance was beneath his acting ability. Stay away from this one and purchase some of his movies instead.
