We got these for Hip Hop costumes where the boys were vampires and needed comfy pants they could dance in that looked dressier. These fit the bill because of the smooth pant hem. They were a little long for all the boys but nothing a little duct tape couldn't handle. They would be good as your "formal" sweats, lol.

Just Right Pants for Toddler to Young Child

I bought the blue in XS. The chart says 2-4 year old, but the child would have to be a really large 2 year old. They are soft and comfortable, and not so sporty where one could wear a shirt or sweater with it. I do wish they sold a darker gray color.
