It has a dicing setting for making salsa as well as a puree and milkshake setting. It has a setting for self cleaning. All settings work perfect. I like this blender bcause it gets the job done. I also love the spoon that was equipped with it. I dont like that the cord is so short, but thats only personal preference for myself. I like appliances with longer cords. I've used it several times since delivery. I always advise people to wash things before usage, including clothing. In conclusion Ive been able to make my own garlic paste with this blender thats how well it worked for me. Keep it clean and it should last a nice while.
