Audiences waited 40 years to revisit Laurie Strode after her terrifying experience with Michael Myers in 1978. In 2018 they got to see how all of it affected her. Laurie is a bit of a mental mess living like a hermit in a fortified fortress estranged from her daughter and living in constant fear that Michael Myers will pay her another visit. She's not wrong. Awakened by stupid journalists looking for fame and fortune, Michael escapes from a local mental institution seeking the mask he was shown by the stupid journalists. After that it's on and slashing. Michael murders his victims with the same vigor, determination, and originality he had 40 years ago. But Laurie is ready and determined to protect herself and her family. What ensues is a fight for survival and closure to a dark chapter in a life so horrifyingly affected. This film is the best one of the latest trilogy and was a HUGE box office success. Audiences and diehard fans responded well to this latest installment. I personally enjoyed it myself, but I don't recommend it for children under 13. It's not for family viewing because of the violence and intense atmosphere. If you loved the original 1978 film you will probably enjoy this movie.
