This monitor is not new. It is "renewed". Nowhere in the description of this product does it state ''RENEWED", nor any similar conspicuous indication that this is NOT A NEW PRODUCT. Here's a link to my purchase history showing a description of the item - that also says NOTHING about the monitor being "renewed".
https://www.walmart.com/orders/200011527196609
Only when I received the product did I learn - by a sticker on the HP carton in which the monitor was shipped - saying "RENEWED" - that it was NOT NEW. Only upon further investigation - after receipt of the product - and clicking a tiny-font link at the bottom right corner of the screen under "view seller information" did I find that this monitor is sold by a company that ONLY sells renewed/refurbished products. Walmart is conducting itself unethically in BURYING the fact that this product is NOT NEW.
Furthermore, Walmart's disclaimer regarding potentially inaccurate info from sellers says ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about hiding/misstating in the product description the fact that the item is renewed, refurbished, remanufactured, restored, or any similar statement or absence thereof. Hence, it becomes Walmart's responsibility to state - up front - in the product description - that the product is "renewed" or a similar adjective, if the product is indeed not new - as this monitor is not.
Walmart's leading online competitor retailer - Amazon - ALWAYS states - UP FRONT - IN THE PRODUCT DESCRIPTION - whenever an item they're offering - regardless of who's actually selling it - is refurbished or renewed. If Amazon doesn't make the buyer hunt for information, then Walmart should set a similar example.
It appears the M32f is no longer available (it doesn't come up in a search on the HP website - ???)? BUT...the M32f IS still listed on Walmart's website:

Of note, the M32fw DOES show on the HP website - for a MUCH lower price than either the M32f OR the M32fw shows on Walmart's website...either way, whatever version of this monitor is or is not currently available at whatever price - this also should not have to be my problem. Please also note that I am seeing multiple inaccuracies (including huge variations in prices for this item) and potential product representations on Walmart's website, including for this product and later version thereof.
I am still within the 30-day window for returns on this item ("return eligible until January 21"). I want to exchange this monitor for a NEW M32fw monitor (HP product %23 6R6E6AA%23ABA - the CURRENT version of this monitor). I want an even exchange - and would like to retain the 2-year protection plan - however we have to work the numbers do that.
Please let me know the best way to accomplish this. According to the Walmart website, I can return this product in the store.
