Nice laptop

I have not gotten another laptop since Windows XP. So I am excited to get this HP laptop. It has a Pentium Silver N5000 CPU, which came out in 2017 and has 4 cores and is 1.10 GHz. It has 4 GB RAM, and 500 GB SATA hard drive. The screen is 15.6 inch. The operating system is Windows 10 Home, 64-bit. It is very thin, and weighs 4.5 lb. When I first plugged in the laptop, a human-voiced Cortana guided me to set it up. I set up the time zone, keyboard, etc, and then connected to the home WIFI. I had a choice of normal or high speed 5G connection. I connected to the Internet and updated Windows 10. I leave it plugged in to be charged overnight. There is an indicator light next to the power inlet. When it is being charged, the light is red, and it turns white when the battery is fully charged. In one evening, the battery drops to half full. So the battery should last 6-8 hours on a single charge. There are two indicator lights at the right edge: one indicates power on and the other indicates the hard drive is busy. When I push the ON button, I have to turn my head to check the indicator light. It is a bit nuisance. Maybe most new laptops are like this. The Caps Lock key has an indicator light. When the Caps Lock is activated, the light remains on until the Caps Lock is turned off. The optical drive is a DVD drive. I can watch DVD on the laptop. There are built-in speakers and a camera. There are 3 USB ports, a network cable port and an external monitor port. I found it easier to operate a laptop with a regular optic mouse with a scroll wheel. None of my home computers are higher than 2 cores. So this laptop is the fastest computer I have. I am very happy with this computer.

Better than what I expected

I was so excited when this HP laptop showed up. I immediately took it out of the box and started setting it up like the instructions said to do. I have never used Windows 10 before, so this a whole new learning experience for me. The laptop has step by step instructions on how to set up your email, how to go about getting the apps that you want, and how to change your screen picture. I find that this laptop computer is something that you could adapt well to if you take the time to do so. It seems to be well built and user friendly. It is very slim, it is light, and it boots up real quick. I received this HP Laptop free from the Spark Reviewer program. I am still learning quite a bit on how to set up your email, sync the laptop to your phone, learning about all the different apps that are offered on the laptop. I will definitely purchase this type of HP laptop again. I will definitely tell my family, friends and coworkers about this HP laptop, because I am very impressed with it.
