Put your trash bag in the opening that's held in with magnets on all 4 sides. Then you can put your trash in the opening until its full. I would recommend this to everyone who drives a vehicle. Putting the side braces in is difficult but patient is all it needs. The whole inside is waterproof.

This car trash can is pretty much perfect! Its already lined but it still comes w/ a few trash bags that can be held in place w/ magnetic snaps. Its super sturdy once you enter the side brackets, its very roomy so it can hold a lot of trash, and the external pockets for storage are a nice addition. Straps on the back are adjustable so you can hang the bag wherever you like. Very happy w/ this purchase!
