The pros: As someone that doesn't typically like to wear a headset, this is a great alternative, you will trade some of the audio quality for comfort, but for the most part, this is an agreeable compromise, for games that really take advantage of the Tempest 3D audio, I still use my pulse headset, but these have become my goto for the majority of games. They do well with 3D audio, sit comfortably on your shoulders, and if using VR, give an immersive audio experience without making it so you can't hear what's happening around you, which i just don't like. The audio from this can be surprisingly loud for the user, while being hardly noticable to someone else in the same room. The one con: this only has the option to connect with an aux cable, and still has a battery that needs to charge, a wireless option would be great. What I would like to see in a second model: obviously, I would like a wireless option, a dongle similar to the Pulse 3D headset would be fine, would also like Bluetooth for connecting to my phone for notifications, or just to use for music or audiobooks while doing stuff around the house. does standard 3D audio well enough, but partner with Sony to take advantage of the Tempest 3D audio, this would be amazing. Working with Sony directly would also be a good opportunity to integrate haptics, which with the VR2, would be an awesome feature to take advantage of.
