It combines all you love in a comfortable pair of shoes with the quality, performance and safety attributes you need for perilous work settings. The Rocky 6223 work boot is constructed with a protective steel toe that will withstand up to 75 lbs. of impact and compression. These protective toe boots are made even hardier with their rubber Vibram® oil resistant outsole and their durable Goodyear welt construction. The work boot would be great for many different work environments but to name a few: Distribution, Heavy manufacturing, Construction, and Maintenance. Furthermore, these boots have 600 grams of Thinsulate Ultra Insulation™. This helps keep your feet nice and warm in cold or damp weather conditions and its unique design does not weigh down the boot with excess heaviness.

All Rocky Products have a 1-year, limited warranty in normal use against any manufacturing flaw(s), defective materials and workmanship. The Rocky warranty does not cover damage due to holes worn in toes, burn marks, punctures, cuts, and abrasions from outside causes or misuse and/or abuse by the wearer. The warranty may be void if the user applies any materials not recommended, such as polishes, oils, or other chemicals that result in damage to the materials of the footwear. All products must be returned and inspected before FULL CREDIT is issued or a REPLACEMENT of the same or equal value is given. ROCKY DOES NOT PRO RATE OR OFFER PARTIAL CREDIT. We will replace all Rocky products at our discretion. Please contact 1-866-442-4908 to obtain your return authorization number. If your boots were not purchased from either Rocky Brands or one of our Authorized Dealers this voids the warranty.

This boot typically rates well for comfort. We are sad to hear that this was not your experience. Regarding the coolant, this boot is primarily designed for outdoor use in cold temperatures. It was tested for slip coefficient, but only in wet conditions. No further contaminants were used. This Vibram outsole is designed to withstand cold temps and cold surfaces without cracking. It is oil-resistant, but not slip-resistant. Without more information as to what you need in your boot, I cannot recommend another style that would perform better, but it sounds like you need a boot that is both oil- and slip-resistant. Such a boot would have a softer rubber compound and maybe a different outsole style/surface, to help you maintain sound footing.
