There were both pros and cons to this kaftan. I am tall and wear a woman's US size large. The fit was great and the length was about mid calf. There is even a tie at the waist to cinch it up a little if you like. I love the colors and the pattern. On the negative side, when I opened the packaging, it smelled absolutely horrible. There was also a small tear on the back side of the dress. The stitching wasn't the best quality and caused bunching of the fabric in some places. Since I am only going to wear this around the house, I'm not too concerned about the stitching. Someone else may have a more significant issue with it. The tear is small enough that I should easily be able to sew it by hand. Of course, there may be people who don't feel like they should have to sew something they just purchased. As for the smell, I washed and dried it on gentle. It survived remarkably well through washing. However there is still a slight scent. I do believe that one more wash should be enough to get the smell out. I'm going to keep this one because it's pretty but I would not purchase another.
