The plastic feels durable. We haven't owned it for long, but for the price, it seems a heafty plastic. My kids easily open and close this style. Perfect size for double sandwich (larger) and single (smaller). I purchased because my son asked for 2 sandwiches one day and his current lunch system couldn't do that. It is slim.

Good 4 sandwiches/White seal falls out/Handwash it
4-5 stars. The bottom part is great for putting 2 sandwiches in it. Can put a third in the top or some cheese slices or fruit. I didn't think it was a great value, but my guys needed it for work lunches. I would hand wash this, because the white seal in the lid tends to fall out. It's easy to put back in, but could come out in the dishwasher.

Perfect for what it is used for
This is the 4th time I have bought a Sistema container for my husband's lunch in about 12yrs. His work is rough on lunch type containers so finding something that works, is the right size, protects food, seals, etc... is a huge win. This holds plenty of snack cakes and crackers and prevents them from turning to mush or crumbs. The seal prevents any moisture getting in. Over the years the bowls have cracked, after a lot of use, but the lids remained intact. I got the two pack so I can put one aside when it is needed later. Good value with the sandwich container added.
