I was buying the packages of fresh salmon which came with two salmon fillets. And they were EXPENSIVE. I was using these for my dog as a treat with his regular food. They say salmon, including the skin, is very good for dogs. When I discovered this frozen package of salmon fillets I was extremely surprised and impressed. After cooking up the very first one I tasted it and it was so fresh. It was not fishy at all. So now I can buy the salmon fillets in these packages and freeze them until I need. Another great aspect of this is that they are individually wrapped. And that is just awesome because you can just take one or two out, put it in the refrigerator to defrost and then cook it up the way you like. It's a very good buy!

Husband needs good protein for stomach surgery recovery and has this almost every night. Filets are individually wrapped with no skin - I take one out and thaw overnight then pop in the oven covered with butter and cook at 375 degrees for 16 minutes. Can't have spices or heavy meats so this makes for a great protein meal for him.
