It was a fast way to have hash browns without having to grate potatoes. One stick of butter is sufficient to cook the entire bag of hash browns. Make sure when cooking, to add extra salt; because these hash browns needed it. For myself, I added lots of crushed black pepper, garlic powder, and minced onion flakes. And when it was completely cooked, I then added shredded triple blend cheddar cheese. Sounds expensive, but it's not. The spices are all $ 1.00 each and the shredded triple cheddar cheese is under $2.00 at Walmarts online. It's a nice side dish. My recommendation is to give it a try and see what you think.

I found these easy to prepare. They are just potatoes so they taste fine. They are a little thicker than some other brands but I found no issues with that. I nuke them for 2 minutes to pre-cook them, and then throw them in a hot pan with butter. This way they cook up fast (no long cooking times) and crisp up great. Highly recommend for a quick easy breakfast. By microwaving it removes the "too thick" issue. This thickness allows for a crisp edge and a chewy center. They don't dry out as quickly as thinner ones.
