I love the great taste and texture! I really believe it tastes as good or better than the Brand named ricottas that I have tried over the years. I use it in many different recipes but I also love it with fruit for breakfast rather than cottage cheese because the sodium count is much lower so healthier choice.

Great Lasagna: 2 lbs ground chuck, lg sweet onion chopped, 9 cooked lasagna noodle noodles, large bottle of Ragu chunky with tomatoes, onions, 1/2 container of ricotta, mixed with 2 eggs, 4 cups Mexican cheese shredded.Brown meat and onion drain. Add to Ragu and heat well. Put 1/2 c in bottom of 9 x 12 that has been sprayed, layer noodles, sauce, sprinkle with Mexican cheese then 12 spoons of ricotta mix over. Continue until all ingredients are used. Bake one hour covered at 350*

I use Great Value's Original Ricotta Cheese every week, whether it is in Italian casseroles, pasta sauce, main courses, etc. Did you know if you add some Ricotta Cheese in your meatball mixture, it adds tons more flavor and smoother texture? True Story. And if you like to make your own cheesecake, you most likely use Ricotta Cheese in that also. When I pop a frozen pizza in the oven, I like to add a few dollops of Ricotta Cheese on the pizza for added flavor. This is very versatile and the Great Value brand has never disappointed me.
