The Great Value heavy Duty Aluminum foil is the same if not better quality than the over priced name brands like Reynolds brands. You get the same quality foil and you get 50ft of it for less than the price of 25ft roll name brands. I find that most Great Value items are the same if not better quality than most name brands. The majority of the products I buy are Great Value brand. Walmart is the only place where there brand of products are just as name brand this is especially true for things like the aluminum foil in this review and esp their cereal products. Even regular great value heavy duty foil is great quality, This heavy duty foil tears right every time. the box is well constructed and does not fall apart when you are trying to tear a sheet of foil. The cutting edge is super sharp giving you perfect cuts every single time unlike reynolds brand who's packaging is low quality falls apart and when you go to tear a piece of foil it causes the foil to tear and rip causing waste and frustration. Buying great value heavy duty foil also saves money and just like all high quality great value products it helps your budget go further allowing you to buy more. I shop great value when ever policy. Some people don't like to purchase store brand products, you know those who have more money than brains but I promise you you will find this foil is equal and in my humble opinion exceeds the quality of Reynolds brand and every other name brand foil! So, take my word for it and the next time you are shopping for a good hi quality cost saving foil reach for great value brand foils and spend the money you save on some tasty fresh baked sweets from the Walmart bakery!

Great Value heavy-duty aluminum is perfect to use as a splash guard on pans without a lid. I use it to create that perfect white “poached” coating on fried eggs: Create a tent for the pan by folding a sheet of aluminum an inch larger than the circumference of the pan, folding a crease in the middle, making sure the center is just a touch higher in the center, hen laying it over the pan. (See photo) This also gives the pan an “oven effect” when cooking which helps thaw hamburger patties or warm meatballs at a medium heat without hurting the finish on the pan or making a big mess. When finished, I fold it in half and reuse the clean side as a spoon rest before I throw it away. It's also heavy enough to use for crafts, decorations, and more. Of course, it also works in the oven to protect the crust of pies from burning or baking a potato or protecting the outside of a turkey, Cornish hen, or chicken from over browning while the insides finish cooking. This has become a kitchen staple I always keep on hand and use often. Great for making desserts while camping, too.
