Standard grated parmesan cheese
Some of my casserole recipes call for parmesan cheese. This is the standard grated version that most Italian restaurants use to sprinkle over your pasta. Although I will be looking for the real parmesan cheese, this will do for now. But in all creative culinary arts, one cheese can easily be replaced by another similar cheese to achieve the same flavor or effect, maybe even a better one. This particular bottle is huge compared to regular bottles of spices (8 ounces compared to the usual 4.25 ounces). I opened the bottle and sprinkled a little onto my hand and tasted it. It tastes like standard grated parmesan cheese. It definitely has the parmesan flavor taste. I would buy this again.

I'll start with the sad part: I can't go back to Kraft unless they drag me with a lower price. The good part is this doesn't taste much different. It's got a slightly chunkier size. It's gosh darned yummy in hot canned corn with mayonnaise and pepper in it. Pile it on and lick your lips.

Tastes Like The Brand Name and Costs Less
This cheese is very good. I used the brand name for years and then I retired. Now, I try to save a few dollars here and there. But many of the store brands were awful. They tasted terrible and had the texture of cardboard. This Great Value Parmesan is equal to the Brand name Parmesan cheese. The flavor is not too salty and it pours/sprinkles smoothly from the canister. It is great on spaghetti or in recipes. My favorite thing to use it on is buttered popcorn. That is super delicious.
