I purchased these on a whim, not really thinking they'd be too great, but I wanted to see how they compared to the Little Debbie variety. I used to love those as a kid but they have definitely changed something over the years and they now have a weird taste to me. But these were delicious, they tasted like the Little Debbie's used to back in the day, maybe even better. I've been pleasantly surpised by quite a few of the Great Value snack cake and candy items I've tried and will definitely purchase these again in the future.

If you're still buying the Little Debbie's Swiss rolls, you're spending too much, AND missing out on a better snack cake. The Great Value Swiss rolls have more chocolate, better texture and taste, and are terrific frozen. I highly recommend this item.

Yummy in the Freezer!
Who doesn't love Lil' Debbie's? These are just as good at a fraction of the cost. I bring these to my students as treats, but we also like to keep them in the freezer at home and have them in place of ice cream. I've found that we don't down an entire package when it's frozen, but take smaller bites. The cream is good and the chocolate is fresh, not cracking.
