I feed this cottage cheese to my two dogs mostly. They have some with scrambled eggs for their breakfast and part of their dinner too along with their nite time good, which I make a batch about every week. Consisting of lean ground turkey, green beans and carrots cooked, pumpkin puree in a can, plus some powdered supplements, along with some cottage cheese mixed in with the other ingredients.

This is my favorite cottage cheese, because it has a moist texture and it is fat free (good, if you are watching your cholesterol), but it does have sodium (bad, if you are watching your blood pressure). Cottage cheese is an undervalued protein and calcium source. Many people think of it only as a diet food that you are forced to eat because you have to lose weight. Not so. You can add cottage cheese to your omelette, it'll make it moist and adding tomatoes and spinach will make it taste like a Greek omelette, minus the price tag of fat free feta. Or,, mix cottage cheese with chopped tomatoes, black beans, cilantro, salsa and guacamole and any other Tex-Mex staples you have. Put it into a tortilla or over salad .
