Premium protection for essential network workstations, telecom systems, point-of-sale equipment and audio/video systems, the ISOBAR825ULTRA Isobar? 8-Outlet Surge Protector features a network-grade surge protection rating of 3840 joules to defend your sensitive electronics against even the strongest surges and spikes. The ISOBAR825ULTRA features eight widely spaced NEMA 5-15R outlets, which are arranged in four exclusive isolated filter banks that prevent equipment connected to one bank from interacting with equipment connected to another. These internal barriers also prevent disruptive line noise from causing A/V distortion, computer lock-ups, data errors and similar problems. Large toroidal chokes, ferrite rod-core inductors, HF/VHF capacitors and multiple layers of metal oxide varistors remove EMI/RFI interference and prevent system crashes, reboots and performance problems. Because residential power outlets have three wires?hot line (H), neutral (N) and ground (G)?the ISOBAR825ULTRA protects all three, covering two protection modes: full normal mode (H-N) and common mode (N-G/H-G). Included safety covers protect against dust while blocking accidental contact with unused outlets. An integrated 12A circuit breaker protects all outlets and shuts down connected equipment in the event of an overload. A lighted on/off switch provides one-touch control over connected components. Diagnostic LEDs show power, protection and line fault status at a glance. An extra-long 25-foot (7.6-meter) cord with right-angle 5-15P plug reaches distant outlets and allows furniture to placed flush against the wall. THIS is what high-end equipment needs
No relay surge protect here, the name "Isobar" says it; each plug has a dedicated wiring so that each item plugged in has full isolated protection. Especially useful when two components might draw power simultaneously just as a surge or spike hits. We have a laser printer in one plug and our copier in another. We could not use a regular surge protector, unless we had two, each one dedicated to one machine only. This Isobar is cost-effective and also indicates faults where an everyday surge protector more often than not does not tell you when it's lost it's full protection effectiveness.

I like to rugged design look. Looks very sturdy. Of course, there is no way to test these things until an actual surge happens. *fingers crossed* I wish the hanger were better designed. It will probably make better sense if it flares out instead of flares in. That was you can screw it into something to stabilize it. I don't want this thing to move, period.

after reading a lot of reviews & technical details I selected this product to protect my valuable electronics. I actually bought two of this ISO BAR 4 outlets . I am using one to protect my TV screen & Blue-ray player & the other to protect my laptop , modem , printer & speaker. it says on the back 12 amp maximum which means you can connect a lot of stuff without worry about the capacity. however it's featuring : Sturdy metal case (fire retardant), solid design , 330v clamp voltage , switch on/off , faulty circuit indicator, 4 outlet plug (protectors) , hanging slots (back). I got a couple of electricity disturbance during couple of thunder storms (I believe transformers got hit by lightening ) but my electronic devices survived & the two surge arresting units continue normal to work !!!
