Perfect for the purpose

I have a ceiling fan in my living room (which is also my study/workroom), but like all ceiling fans it's in the middle of the room, and my desk is off in the corner. That means that sometimes I don't get the benefit from the big fan that I'd like. So I bought this little fan and set it up where it can blow right onto me. It makes a big difference; it pushes a surprisingly large volume of air. And, being all-plastic, it's whisper-quiet. It took me a minute or two to figure out the controls, and I do wonder at the highest speed being in the middle, but that's minor. If you need a personal fan for your desk, your kitchen workspace, your bedroom, this is the one to get.

Good fan, poor description online

I had a need for an electric mini-fan. The description online for this fan said the overall height of this fan was 8". The measurement is indeed 8" - IF the fan is facing the floor. When the fan is directed straight to the front, the height is closer to 11". Be forewarned that it is indeed a good product but but the description is faulty.
