This Granite Ware 18 in. covered oval roaster browns better and cooks more evenly than any other roaster. The dark interior absorbs all the oven's energy, the steel core evenly distributes the heat and the glass interior doesn't alter the taste. Ideally suited for a 15-pound roast, this oval roaster boasts even heating and faster cooking times because of its unique construction. Porcelain is fused to the steel at 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit producing a non-porous, inert glass surface that is naturally non-stick. Porcelain can chip if dropped, however this does not reduce the effectiveness of the cookware. They are safe for metal utensils, easy to clean, and dishwasher safe!

I had one 99.9% to exactly like this one.
I bought a roasting pan for cooking turkey . As did I once before. I was taught that buying cookware is not so varied as you might expect. It's important when cooking, even a professional chef, has to learn how to cook with their new equipment. Cooking equipment of about probably all kinds. You can spend more or you can spend less. You only have to learn how to cook with it. I have to say I still have a dislike for no stick Teflon. My mother had a roasting pan that I used to roast a whole 3-4lb chicken in. I learned to cook them really well. In fairness I have to say I got the best deal of the 3 sizes that were offered for sale. I got the 18", the 19" was crazy more expensive. Anyway, I like the quality of this roaster , and I got a good price.
