Although I am not a fan of Goya products this is the best version of alcaparrado I have found. I have been using it all my cooking life and I am pretty sure my mom used it in our Puerto Rican dishes at home. The taste is always consistent and a little product goes a long way. Adding a bit of the brine to the dish also enhances the flavor. I use it with Arroz con Gandules, Habichuelas guisadas , all guisados(stews), and when I prepare traditional Yuca en Escabeche. I don't personally make pasteles because they are labor intensive but it goes well in that also. These are just some uses for me but it's a versatile product. I have tried other brands but have always come back to this product. Good eating everyone!
