The Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady is a touring all season tire manufactured for passenger, crossover and sport utility vehicles. Goodyear offers a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

The tire promotes true all weather traction. The detailed asymmetric tread design features wide sweeping grooves, Evolving Traction Grooves and zigzag sipes that find road grip in all dry, wet and winter weather, while the special soybean tire compound maintains its flexibility in various temperatures. The enhanced tire compound and tread design allowed the tire to receive the three mountain peak and snowflake symbol that is given to tires capable of conquering the harshest winter weather. The Evolving Traction Grooves switch between deep and wide grooves. They, along with the wide sweeping grooves actively resist hydroplaning situations by eliminating water from beneath the tires footprint. The enhanced winter traction, all weather road grip and hydroplaning prevention improve the year round driving safety significantly.

The tires internal structure features a strengthened polyamide casing, which maintains the tires optimal shape under the driving pressure. The optimized shape allows constant road contact and improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability. The steering becomes quick and precise to the drivers instructions, while the tires structure is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. The models Weather Reactive Technology combines the Evolving Traction Grooves and the TredLock Technology to ensure that the tread elements lock together during the drive, especially when maneuvering and cornering. This promotes additional biting edges to the tire in such situations, making the drive safer and the tire more controllable in all conditions.

The Assurance WeatherReady guarantees an extended tread life. The tread design and internal structure work together to prevent irregular tread wear. The tread design enhances the road contact and ensures even tread wear. The internal structures twin steel belts reinforce the tire and prevent deformation during the drive. They manage to evenly distribute the driving pressure along the tread area and extend the tires tread life and usability significantly, making the tire more cost efficient.
