I love this hair brush. For as long as I can remember, I have used the old style hairbrush with the close bristles and as you age, you start losing more hair and some medicines will also cause your hair to become thinner. I tried some of the hair brushes similar to this one but they always seemed to pull making my hair break and my head sore. This one was such a pleasant surprise in more ways than one. 1. The handle almost feels soft, probably because of the smooth feel of it and it's shape. When you have issues like Arthritis or Fibromyalgia your hands are very sensitive to what you have to hold or use and many days your hands just plain hurt so using a brush with an oddly shaped handle can make them hurt even more. This one doesn't it fits perfectly in my hand without anything jutting out causing pain. 2. The bristles, they are spaced so well, your hair isn't getting snagged or pulled and I have found since getting this brush that I am losing way less hair than with my old one. Too, the copper bristles make your head feel as if they are in a way giving your scalp a massage. I feel the effects of them on my scalp for some time afterwards and it's a pleasant feel and if you are having a day when your pain level is so high, even your hair hurts if a puff of air touches it, brushing with this brush causes way less pain. Copper helps with some pain issues and if these bristles are copper as stated, maybe they will help control some of the head pain issues. You couldn't pay me enough to give this brush back. I really like this Goody Clean Radiance Cushion Hairbrush! The very first time I brushed my hair, I loved it. The bristles are copper and end in a slight knob, but not too big. The flexibility and length of each bristle, with just the right size knob and spacing between bristles, all add up to amazingly comfortable, tingly feelings when I brush my hair. The bristles are embedded in a comfy cushion so it always gives to the contours of my head. The brush does not pull out excessive amounts of hair, in fact, it is very kind:to my hair. It did feel as though the brush cut through build up etc in my hair: I use gel and mousse, but at the end of the day when I brushed it, it seemed like it was gone. Also, as a gardener, I know that copper is a very effective fungicide. Although Goody does not claim this, I know that dandruff is caused by the same fungus as toenail fungus and it stands to reason that the copper would have anti fungal properties. I had problems with a tiny scaly patch on my scalp but after a week or so of brushing with this brush, it vanished. Appearance wise, it is extremely attractive: white with the copper bristles and several copper accent stripes. The handle is thick and comfortable to grip. My husband has a famous maker brush with plastic or rubber type bristles ending in comparatively larger knobs. He tried mine and now I have to buy a Goody Radiance for him- he liked it that much the first time!
