I didn't realize this pull out drawer had to be on a flat or higher surface to work. My original location was on my kitchen cabinet floor. Unfortunately, my drawer has an edge that prevents it from coming out. What I did was use another piece of wood on top of the cabinet floor so that it was higher than the edge of the cabinet. Once I figured that out, I measured the width as close to the opening as possible and taped off the drawer. I hope this helps you get heavy items out of your drawers.

Yep, a real slam dunk for these drawers...perfect for my pantry full of cans, jars, flour, etc. Also, yes, the tape is pretty strong, but I definitely tightened these rails anyway. The holes are there, so do it. - Stronger. Even though the diagram says not to put them in cabinets with framed edges on the sides, I did it anyway. good results. I just put thin boxed items in the gaps on the sides, or put cedar blocks to keep bugs at bay.
