The GP12 is a major upgrade. I do mostly Time Lapse. Once you sort out the settings It is far superior to my oLd GP8, Once you crack the problem of it Demanding a phone to initialize it. Since it is my second GP12 I just fed it the latest update for the older GP12 and that bypassed the initialization problem.
