Amazing Camera!

Used this on a bike ride down the California coast (and my training rides leading up to the ride) and I was mesmerized by the quality of the footage. Truly spectacular video and pictures. In addition, it's super easy to use. I was first a little nervous about all the functions and features, but you get used to it and start to understand it pretty quickly. There's really no other recreational camera on the market that compares to this quality. Very impressed and would highly recommend!

Excellent product, camera knowledge optional.

I've been using video products all of my life, but never used an action cam like this. I was shocked by what a punch it packed for such a small camera. For non camera-knowledgable folks: choose a mode, press record. You'll be totally pleased with how easy this camera is, and how great the quality is. For camera people: I was a little worried about the color, and I leaned that shooting with a GoPro demands correction for a professional look. I use FCP-X, and like a GoPro LUT that cost $30 online. I shoot ProTune, medium sharpness, flat white balance. Then I bring out the colors in post. Overall thoughts: -I LOVE the Silver, because I love the screen. Being a video guy, I'm used to checking my exposure, frame the shot, etc. This screen helps so much. -It would be nice to shoot 4K at 30fps (because who shoots 15fps?), but it's really not a huge dealbreaker. -I bought bundle packs of mounts and accessories for cheap on Amazon. Don't buy the GoPro official ones unless you must for some reason. Enjoy your new GoPro!

Great video capabilities

We purchased a cheaper knock-off brand last year and were very disappointed. We decided to try the Hero 4 Silver and have been pleasantly surprised. The Silver has playback viewing on the screen and great video capabilities. Note, it does not come with an HDMI cable.
