Just like old times!

This review is for past Cumulus wearers & ASICS company folks... the Cumulus 24 keeps the Cumulus heritage going!! TLDR summary: I've owned DOZENS of pairs of Cumulus over the last 15 years and have found them to be just what I need to knock out ~450 miles over the course of a few months with reliable comfort and dependable, neutral cushioning. Try them out today! Backstory: I have been wearing Cumulus since first fitted by my LRS in 2008; first model purchased was the Cumulus 9. I am an "if-it-ain't-broke" sort of person, so my next MANY pairs took me through the upper-teens models... where something terrible happened. One model got a little tight & narrow in the toe box, then the next was just un-wearable for me. Too much "trickle down" changes & the changing uppers just made for a narrower/tighter fit. I was heart-broken and went into a veritable funk for a couple years as I sought refuge in other companies' models with incredibly varied levels of success. Then, when the 20's models came out, I tried Cumulus again & THEY WERE BACK!! The 23's worried me a little (got a little bit narrower in toe box again), but the 24's seem to be right back on track to what I'm used to. So, now I'm back to having 2 pairs in rotation (22 & 23 right now), with 6 in inventory (a 21, 2 x 22's & 3 x 24's)... I'm set for another good year of running!!

Stable and comfortable

I previously had Hoka One One Clifton 6 running shoes and felt they really didn't have much stability, I did a lot of research and found that while soft they didn't have a lot of stability or arch support. I really like these Gel-Cumulus 24 shoes, they hug around my ankle, have an open toe box and very stable. I've hit about 45 miles so far and love these shoes, no abnormal wear so far. Will definitely get another pair!
