It's a perfect amount of “squish” without the frustrating feel when you can't press on it because it's too hard. It also doesn't have that sticky coating material that picks up dirt from everywhere. We have a bunch of “squishy” toys in our home and I usually end up tossing them because they collect every speck of dirt. It's great quality and I can tell will last for a long time.
