As good as cast iron

I have always liked cooking with cast iron but it is really not good for glass top stoves. Carbon steel solves the problem. Although I am still careful not to slide it on the cook top it is much safer for my ceramic cook top and it cooks as well as cast iron. Love it!

A great Pan at a reasonable price!

I have been using Cast Iron for years , and i finally bought the Lodge Carbon Steel 12 " pan.. I LOVE IT !!! So much lighter then my cast iron... i must confess that i seasoned it 4 more time when i got it home , but my eggs slide around on it , like a child at the ice skate rink!! I'm not going to get rid of my cast iron, but i do see me using this skillet everyday!!!

Lodge only makes quality products...

I love the quality and it is much lighter than my cast iron 12 inch pan but I wish they would make one with a handle on the other side to balance it out. I need two hands to lift the pan empty and struggle when it's has something in it.
