I bought this pitcher for tea. It was on sale which was a plus. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the pitcher and lid are. Not flimsy at all! Lid locks into place. Both the pitcher and lid are easy to clean and I have put mine in the dishwasher with the lid on top rack and pitcher in bottom rack and came out clean and not melted! I liked it so much that I bought another one for backup!
