Gelusil is a proven formula of alumina, magnesia, and simethicone that provides fast and effective stomach upset relief. Gelusil has provided fast relief when heartburn symptoms flare-up. Its unique combination formula is different from other antacids. It contains aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide to relieve heartburn and acid indigestion, and it has not been associated with an acid rebound. Another active ingredient in Gelusil is simethicone, which relieves bloating and gas.
Gelusil is strong enough for occasional, everyday heartburn relief including nighttime heartburn. And it's safe enough to take with 24-hour heartburn medications like Nexium, Prevacid, and Prilosec OTC if symptoms flare up between doses.
