Garden Craft 24in H x 5ft L Gray Galvanized Steel Hardware Cloth with 1/2in Openings

I needed a good quality hardware cloth to seal off the gap between the deck on our balcony and the railing so that our bearded dragon can go out through the magnetic screen door onto the balcony whenever he wants to. This turned out to be the perfect solution to block the gap so that he can have a good view and bask in the sunshine but the hardware cloth is plenty substantial enough to keep him from slipping through the gap and falling onto the concrete slab of the patio below. I began by measuring the gap, then cutting strips of the hardware cloth wide enough to allow me to curve the hardware cloth after cutting each wire along the strips' length at an angle in the very center of the strips' wire grid width measurement. Having used my diagonal cutters to cut each wire at approximately a 45° angle resulted in the wires being needle sharp, which in turn allowed me to use those tiny daggers to dig in to both the decking on the bottom side of the gaps as well as the wood 2"x4" on the gap's top side, securing the curved strips using the springiness of the cloth and the curve to hold it snugly and securely in place. I didn't need to use a single nail, staple, or anything else to secure the strips in place. Great price for the hardware cloth, too, and it was delivered the same day. Can't beat that! This was the perfect size for handling in my yard. The big box stores had it in a much bigger capacity, on a huge roll.... not making it very manageable for seniors to use. This is of good quality, it suits the purpose it's intended for, and it's easy to cut with tin snips.
