was not sure this would work as a lighting source for my horse barn needed it to be high enough that they could not knock it off the wall scratching on it or chewing on it, yet needed to be able to reach the cord to turn it on and was not sure if attaching a longer cord would still allow it to be turned on added a shoe lace to end of attached cord and ran that through a pcv pipe and it works fine and really provides a sufficient amount of light so that I can feed and water them at midnight during the winter months has been working every night for 5 months so far for about 30 to 60 mins not sure how long it would actually last because that is all have have needed it for so far. I did forget and leave it on one night and the next night when I turned it on it came on for a minute and then went back off but it recharged that next day and was back in use that night. So if you were wondering if it would work for something other than a shed my barn is 20 by 60 and the two lights work wonderfully.
