When you need a reliable hardware connection for rigging, hoisting, or tensioning applications, use US Cargo Control's 1/2" x 12" Jaw and Jaw Turnbuckles for dependable securement. With a 2,200-lb working load limit (when engaged) and 5:1 design factor, the hot dipped galvanized turnbuckle can be used to tension wire rope, steel cable, and guy wire, and can support your heavy-duty applications including wire towers, suspension, mining, oil rigging, and safety railing. Also known as cable tightener or cable turnbuckle, our 1/2" turnbuckle galvanized are fitted with a nut, bolt, and cotter pin assembly for quicker attachment and release than eye ends, and more security than hook ends. Use the turn buckle tensioner heavy duty with other hardware to create a versatile assembly, such as screw pin shackles, wire rope slings, oblong master links, and poly round slings. You can use a pipe wrench to tighten the hardware, and pliers to tighten cotter pin. It is UNC coarse thread, which is faster to adjust and has less turning than fine thread. Turn the body to tighten both ends with the right and left threading. All of our chain turnbuckles are clearly stamped with diameter size to meet or exceed all of ASTM F-1145 requirements.
