SentrySafe 1200 Fire-Resistant Box Safe with Key Lock 0.18 Cu. ft., Black

First I'll admit: I have not tested this in a fire and I desperately hope not to. I'm trusting the claims that it holds up without actually melting one and wasting the money to find out the hard way. That said, it seems very sturdily built. It's supposed to be directly flame resistant, but it's such a thick material that the thickness alone likely offers some protection. They've chosen to use a normal small key in this one which may be less secure than the round kind, but probably actually isn't in practice. It's easier to use and less conspicuous at least. Because of the thickness, it is heavy and there is less actual room on the inside than one might want, but that's the price you pay for it to be so fire resistant. The size and shape is very convenient for packing away in a closet or just about anywhere else at least though. And I like that the handle is good enough that if you really wanted to, you could grab it as you run out the door if you got all your other priorities out first. (Obviously save the fire safe last...)
