This LCS40 charger fits all BLACK+DECKER 36v or 40v Max lithium-ion tools. Maximum initial battery voltage (measured without a workload) is 40 volts. Nominal voltage is 36.

For whatever reason my old B&D charger was not charging the new B&D battery—both were appropriate to each other. This is working very well,. Not the charger or battery fault, but I can use neither since the trimmer gave out after a 10 second whir once the new battery was installed.
