I always keep some on hand. I use it around the house, garden, garage, etc. In my younger days I always used it while backpacking %26 kayaking (too old for that stuff now). When cutting be sure to melt the cut ends to prevent unraveling. (this happens with all paracord - not just this brand). I keep a lighter with the spool so I can seal as soon as I cut it.
