It has a secure locking system but bottom side door isn't aligned causing it to stick when opening. The size is slightly smaller than described. The plastic tray is also smaller and there's a gap between the tray and frame of 1/2 to 1 inch. If you have a dog that is kennel trained and put a pillow to cover the gap it should help. It's easy to assemble and is made of durable, heavy duty metal except for the divider which is flimsy with sharp ends. If you don't need the divider then it's no problem. I would purchase this again because overall it's well mad, I consider it a good value. It's large enough and sturdy enough for a large, calm, kennel trained dog. I wouldn't use it for a puppy because the tray space could cause injury and definitely wouldn't use the divider, it's dangerous. The divider needs to be redesigned.
