It did take significant time putting this product together %26 requires thorough double/triple checking reading the instructions; before actually installing the pieces. One wrong piece assembled will deter its functionality (certainly not a con because it ensures a gold star finished product). The quality and strength is top tier. I would suggest assembling in place of where you will use it in your home, because it is a very heavy/sturdy/sound piece of furniture.
