G.I. Joe Classified Series Cobra Eel Action Figure, 6"

Overall a great action figure. The divers of the series are better in hand than I had expected. I do think Joe Torpedo is superior which is unexpected as Cobra Eel sells out. I would recommend getting the retro version.

Yes, this item was reissued, and there are some minor differences between the original release and the retro line. The classified version is slightly dark-skinned, its harpoon lace is red, and a logo stamped on the back of its breathing accessory is a cool-looking eel-like logo. In contrast, the retro version has a lighter skin tone, its harpoon lace is blue, and the logo on the back of its breathing tank is just an ordinary cobra logo. Asides from that, these two versions are pretty much the same. True, the classified version was scarce for the longest time, and they were going for ridiculous prices. Now, the version of this figure's price is far more affordable, and within a competitive range of the retro line version. If you plan to troop-build this figure, and you are already in possession of some classified Eels but are detail-oriented and want some level of uniformity, then those slight differences described above might trouble you, but otherwise, either version is fine.
