I bought about six of these and I put them on top of a heating pad that I bought from chewy. not sure what that does but it does help keep my heating pads clean and it's easier to wash these than it is to wash the heating pads. now that it is warming up I have now turned off the heating pads but I leave these out just for my feral cats in case there is a cool or damp night. not much use this time of year though. the cats seem to like them and I do too. I have washed them several times and I just set them out to dry and I just put them back in my kitty shelters.
